Medlab Asia and Asia Health, pioneering the change within the laboratory and healthcare industries within the ASEAN region, generated US$ 35.4 million in new business deals during the show last month.
During the three-day show, inaugurated by Anutin Charnvirakul, Minister of Public Health of Thailand, and Mr. Puripan Bunnag, Senior Vice President, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the exhibition welcomed 6,168 visitors from 55 countries who connected with 289 exhibitors. A total of 30 countries were represented by exhibitors, which included 9 international pavilions.

The overarching goal, reflecting our commitment to creating a business platform that was conducive to facilitating business deals by providing an opportunity to make connections, network and ultimately to support the global medical laboratory and healthcare recovery.”
Deals completed during the event included Mindray, Sansure, Randox, BGI Genomic, LG Thailand, Quotient Suisse S, ERBA Mannheim, Sysmex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, and many more to enhance the patient experience by utilizing multiple digital technologies. Mindray also signed a bulk purchase agreement for medical devices. While most product categories that signed contracts included medical laboratory equipment, devices, disposables, tests and consumer goods, healthcare and general services, and IT systems and solutions.
The response from the exhibitors has been overwhelming. Carrie Wen – Regional Sales Director of Sansure Biotech Inc. said: “We are delighted to be in Thailand and participate in Medlab Asia and Asia Health, as this is the first time after the pandemic, we have had the opportunity to meet our customers face-to-face. Furthermore, the show has given us a platform to display our products and invite speakers to showcase Sansure technology in this field.”

The event, under the theme ‘Transforming the laboratory and healthcare medicine through innovation’, was supported by the Ministry of Public Health and Thailand Medical Hub. With the overwhelming success of the show so far, Randox, Sansure, Auotobio, and many more have already confirmed their presence for the 2023 edition of Medlab Asia and Asia Health, returning from 12 – 14 July 2023 at the IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
