Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) led by Mr. Richard Jones, Senior Vice President and Head of Sustainability Department joined a discussion on the topic of “Solutions to Close the Loop for Packaging, Recycling and E-commerce” at SEA of Solutions: Partnership Week for Marine Plastic Pollution Prevention, which was organized by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and COBSEA. The conversation focused on businesses in the South East Asian region that are beginning to respond to the immense challenge of packaging waste. The international conference received great response from over 600 professionals in sustainability, leading companies, and government agencies from 45 countries.
IVL has committed to developing and expanding PET recycling which will further support the circular economy in the plastic industry. The company’s efforts include Recycling Education Project to raise awareness among young people as well as the public to better understand waste separation.
