LIV-24 applies ESG Tech AI technology, revolutionising industrial sector Cuts costs, increases productivity, facilitates sustainable business

At present, many countries, especially members of the European Union, have imposed the so-called Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) that mandates the issuance of carbon emission certificates (CBAM certificates) effectively certifying the actual amount of carbon emission from the production process of a certain product. This process is designed to prevent the import of products with high greenhouse gas emissions from entering the EU zone. Such Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies are becoming crucial factors that businesses must be prepared to cope with and to adopt the global standards. This is especially true for businesses in Thailand, which is a major production base, importing and exporting goods worldwide. Entrepreneurs must focus on introducing environmentally friendly production technologies according to international standards, to increase their competitiveness and to stand out from competitors in the global market. In Thailand itself, environmental laws have been enacted, especially regarding the industrial sector. However, these laws have not been fully enforced because of regulatory limitations and high technology costs. LIV-24 Co., Ltd. sees an opportunity to apply technology to help resolve these limitations through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse and process energy use in industrial plants to design solutions that will help reduce costs, increase productivity and improve the production process to be environmentally friendly, thus revolutionising the industrial sector in the quest for sustainability.
Ms. Niramon Direkmahamongkol, Managing Director of LIV-24 Company Limited (LIV-24), said, “LIV-24 is determined to develop solutions to support ESG standards in the Thai industrial sector because we are aware of the environmental crisis at the global level. This is especially true for the industrial sector which plays a significant role in caring for the environment. With the confidence in our experience in using AI and IoT technology to administer over 130 real estate projects covering a variety of businesses, including residential, commercial buildings, mixed-use buildings, branch service centres, warehouses, and hospitality service businesses such as many hotels in Thailand, LIV-24 recognises the business opportunities and has developed the ‘Industrial Technology’ for the industrial sector, using artificial intelligence (AI) in combination with the experience of experts. We are adept at using intelligent camera technology (CCTV Analytic) to detect abnormalities and IoT monitoring system to control and monitor buildings, machinery, and various systems that are essential in the production process, including energy management, wastewater, and transportation systems, to maximise benefits. These technologies are linked to the central Command Centre, which provides real-time care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system works by collecting data while a team of experts stand by to analyse the in-depth information, and the system automatically sends an alert if there is an abnormality so that the coordination to rectify the situation can be made immediately before lives and property are affected. The detailed data compilation and processing enable business owners to adapt, plan their work processes, and improve work efficiency and productivity within the specified investment budget, while reducing the risk of accidents and increasing safety. The system helps save energy and reduce management costs by up to 20 percent. In addition, the system is consistent with the government’s policy on carbon reduction, helping factories to adapt to the demand of customers who care about the environment, and promoting sustainable business operations, and being responsible for society and the environment. All these crucial factors make LIV-24 a suitable choice for industries that want to develop their businesses sustainably.”
LIV-24 has designed and developed solutions that meet the technological needs of business operations, specifically for the industrial sector, as follows:
- Fleet Management: Real-time GPS vehicle tracking technology linked to the Command Centre. This system can help plan routes and track transport vehicle movements for maximum efficiency and reduction in transport fuel costs. The system will immediately issue an alert if there are deviations from the designated routes. This feature is especially important when involving the transportation of hazardous waste or industrial waste that must be managed strictly according to regulations. The system also can precisely set destinations and arrival times to reduce environmental impact on the community.
- Energy Management: LIV-24 AI technology can collect data on various activities that consume energy in each operation to be analysed and to plan for the most appropriate and efficient energy usage to reduce expenditure on energy. The system can plan to automatically turn on and off the power system during on-peak/off-peak periods and alternating the activities that consume significant rates of energy at the most appropriate times to minimise electricity costs. It can also analyse electricity usage from different energy sources appropriately, such as switching to use energy generated from solar cells first during on-peak period to save costs, as well as reducing the use of electricity obtained from fossil fuels that has higher carbon emission, to reduce the impact on the community.
- Waste Water Management: LIV-24 system offers real-time water quality monitoring with alert warning via Command Centre. Water quality is analysed before it leaves the factory. The system can also monitor wastewater values to ensure they are within the specified standards, without any harmful contaminants. It can immediately send the alarm when abnormalities in wastewater are found, ensuring that water leaving the factory and into public waterways would not be harmful to the communities.
“The problem of pollution and the foundation for sustainability for the country require cooperation from all sectors. All parties should prioritise the application of technology to manage industrial plants, to push for the Green Industry standards and Eco Factory standards. LIV-24’s technology can help design solutions that will help to support the government sector to be able to supervise the process effectively, as well as to reduce the impact on communities and the environment. As for those in the business sector, LIV-24 can help them increase efficiency and enhance competitiveness to be on par with international standards. The current global warming circumstances reflect the urgent need for all sectors to adapt and prepare to deal with environmental problems. All of which will become invisible costs and burdens that the Thai people will eventually have to bear if they are not addressed as soon as possible,” concluded Ms. Niramon.
