Bromsgrove International School Thailand is sending their world class team of golfers to the forthcoming World Schools Golf Challenge between 31 March and 5 April 2013. This is the first time that the prestigious competition has been held in Thailand, and schools from Thailand, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom will be competing at four superb golf courses around Hua Hin: Black Mountain, Springfield Village, Palm Hills Golf & Country Club and Banyan Resort & Golf.
At the World School Golf Challenge, King Power Group, the leading duty free operator in Thailand, has generously helped the team in supporting them financially. There is a link with Bromsgrove International School as the present Headmaster Mr Steve Challoner used to teach at Bromsgrove UK where Khun Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha (Tal), Assistant to Group Chairman of King Power, once studied.
King Power has regularly supported a number of sports and this time they are delighted to be involved in golf sponsorship. Their aim is to help our young golfers’ dream of achieving success through experiences at world level competition.
Fenix Golf has also been very generous in helping the team by providing some of the golf apparel.
Our number one player, Chanachok Dejpiratanamongkol (Tap), recently won the Lipo Team Championship, and is currently competing in the Thailand Open 2013 against names such as Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley, and many of the top Asian Tour professionals.
Other representatives are Pitsinee Winyarat (Liz), Korntawat Julamool (Bright) and Channarong Osathalert (Mark), a group which includes a current Junior World Champion and a member of the Thailand National squad.
